Thicker than blood...???

It all happened around the same time...me watching an okay movie, me watching an episode of a popular Reality show called Extreme makeover--home edition, a show that helps the needy to get a makeover done to their home, and then again, me watching another really smart movie & aaall of them, around the saaame theme!! :P ;)

While the former and the latter most ones may be dismissed as being imaginary or technically-- fictitious, the middle one is real :) and that's what touched me and propelled me to pen down (uhmm..or type down) what i saw.

The Frisch  family is like any other ordinary family, except that their compassion & willingness to help goes beyond the so-called sensibilities. The man of the family is a fireman, while the woman WAS a counsellor. She had to discontinue her job since she was ailing from a disorder for which her large intestine had to be removed! Her body required more insulation than was available in their dingy house. They have 3 biological children.  Inspite of so many adversities, the plight of the children in an orphanage in Haiti moved them so much that they adopted 5 kids! Later they adopted another 3 needy kids form Ohio. The house was no longer able to hold the family of 13. Needless to say, they were struggling...

I've heard of millionaires and movie stars adopting kids, that's believable. But then again, i see them on the posters and wonder what it was for. I've also heard of childless couples adopting kids. That's believable too. But now, i was seeing a poor couple- 1 of them ailing, who had adopted very different kids from very different backgrounds, inspite of the fact that, they had their own children!! And to my pleasant surprise, it was evident that they were a FAMILY!! :)

No matter what the agnostics and the atheists say (bah! i pity them, coz they don't know what they are missing!) I believe that, if you show the willingness to do something for the greater good, we cannot say from where, but the opportunities as well as, all the help that we need, CERTAINLY COMES!

For the Frisch family, the help came from this reality show, which not only gave an extreme makeover to their house, but also donated TRUCKLOADS of toys, books, clothes and the likes to 1000s of children in Haiti. Here's what a haitian Frisch kid had to say," I had just one toy, and i know how happy i was about it. i really know what this means to the kids out here." Another said, "My Dad is a hero, coz he helps people. I want to be like him someday and help people."

Not just this. The show also promised their kids a full ride college scholarship!!!

Here's what the lady managed to say through her tears, " My poor husband wanted to be the provider and the protector. But it was only getting harder for him. Now, he can go to work with a free mind, He can come back to this warm home and rest. :') :')"

She adds, "My family is complete."

Hats off to their compassion, their courage, and most of all, their LOVE!! :)

Puhhhlleeezzz check out the video for the extreme makeover-frisch family NOW!! ;)

    1. To know how magical faith is, you have to take the first step towards it..."A sincere, intense, heartful prayer to the creator ....call him anything u wish!" The rest of the steps begin to show on its on! When we believe....nah ,...when we know there's someone out there, some supernatural being who's in control of our life, and wishes the best for you ...You kinda begin to see every event (past, present and future) in a holistic way, as in we begin to see life in a BIG PICTURE way...so our troubles seem trivial!

I would suggest a book for you that one of my besties gifted me...Its a christian book, but its all about finding God in science...I found it amazing

and yeah i pity atheists coz they are missing out on their biggest well wisher's friendship, His small but heart touching everyday miracles :) In any case no debate can prove God or faith...its all a personal experience.
N thank u for the compliment....I think and think a lot....A blessing sometimes, & curse someother times ;)
